Detroit Lions Announce Eminem as Key Performer for Thanksgiving Day Halftime

Marshall Mathers and Shady Records’ Paul Rosenberg to Executive Produce Three-Year Halftime Show Series

The Detroit Lions are taking their Thanksgiving Day game experience to a whole new level, announcing that rap icon Eminem will play a major role in this year’s halftime show at Ford Field. The Lions revealed that Marshall Mathers, along with longtime manager and Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg, will serve as executive producers for the halftime shows in 2025, 2026, and 2027.

A Cultural Touchdown for Detroit
“We’re thrilled to be working with Marshall and Paul, who are two of the most accomplished and respected names in the music industry, not to mention longtime Lions fans,” said Detroit Lions President & CEO Rod Wood. “Their reputation in the business will attract top-tier talent and help us solidify this annual performance as one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”

The Thanksgiving clash against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, November 27, will not only air live on FOX but also feature a televised halftime performance curated under the creative guidance of Eminem and Rosenberg. Fans can expect a production designed to entertain both in-stadium attendees and millions watching nationwide.

From Michigan Central Station to Ford Field
Eminem and Rosenberg previously served as executive producers for the Michigan Central Station concert last summer, where Eminem headlined with a surprise four-song set. That event showcased their ability to craft memorable, high-energy performances, a skill they now bring to one of Detroit’s most storied sports traditions.

“It’s an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports,” Rosenberg said. “We look forward to putting together unforgettable shows featuring world-class artists for the fans at Ford Field and the tens of millions watching around the country.”

A Lions Fan on Every Level
Eminem, a known Detroit Lions enthusiast, has been a familiar sight at games over the years, appearing both on the sidelines and in luxury suites. His involvement adds a personal touch to the performance and underscores his connection to the team and the city.

As Thanksgiving approaches, Detroit fans have more than just football to look forward to — with Eminem and Rosenberg at the helm, this year’s halftime show promises to be a historic celebration of music, culture, and Lions pride.
