Supreme Court Halts Trump’s Deportations, MAGA Throws a Fit

MAGA and Trump Team Furious After Supreme Court Halts Deportation of Alleged Venezuelan Gang Members

The Trump administration and MAGA supporters are fuming after the U.S. Supreme Court stepped in to temporarily stop the deportation of some Venezuelan immigrants accused of being part of the gang Tren de Aragua. The decision came after the ACLU sued, arguing that Trump’s plan to deport them under the old 1798 Alien Enemies Act was unconstitutional without due legal process. In a surprising 7-2 ruling, the court put a hold on the deportations  and MAGA world did not take it well.

Trump had wanted to quickly kick them out of the country from a detention center in Texas, skipping the usual court hearings. Only Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito sided with him. Since then, several right-wing politicians and MAGA influencers have spoken out angrily about the court’s move.

Trump Officials Go Public With Rap Sheets

In response to the ACLU’s case, the Trump administration decided to release criminal records and photos of these Venezuelan immigrants. Officials told Fox News that many of them already had criminal charges and convictions pending. One image they shared allegedly showed a man named Henry Jose Romero-Gonzalez holding guns and posing with a pile of cash. He’s reportedly facing charges for assault, crimes against a person, and having illegal weapons.

Another alleged gang member, Ronny Javier Rodriguez-Tovar, apparently has an even longer record. Reports say he’s been convicted of crimes like hit-and-run, battery, DUI, and shoplifting. He’s also waiting to face new charges for resisting arrest, assault, and other offenses. These are just two of the people caught up in this case  many more are reportedly involved.

      MAGA Meltdown in Full Swing

As expected, MAGA politicians and Trump’s allies took to social media platform X to vent their frustration. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted that Trump was committed to removing “terrorist illegal aliens” like these gang members, blaming “radical activists” for slowing things down in court.

Homeland Security liaison Paul Ingrassia went on a long rant about how the legal system has been taken over by what he called a “parasitical ideology,” blaming the Supreme Court for blocking what he sees as basic border protections. He said the justices were helping “ruin America” by getting in Trump’s way.

Solicitor General D John Sauer also complained, filing a 17-page document urging the Supreme Court to scrap its decision. He argued that the ACLU had rushed to the higher courts too quickly, skipping normal procedures, and that the case hadn’t even been properly reviewed by lower courts yet.

     More MAGA Outrage

Stephen Miller, Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security, tweeted angrily that while “foreign alien terrorists” get free lawyers, American communities are left to suffer. Republican Rep. Mary Miller chimed in too, claiming the Democrats have let illegal immigrants ruin schools, towns, and the American way of life.

Tom Fitton, head of right-wing group Judicial Watch, took it a step further. He suggested that maybe Trump should suspend habeas corpus  a constitutional right that lets people challenge illegal detention  in response to what he called the “Biden invasion.”

     Protests Erupt

While all this was going down, thousands of people protested outside the White House against Trump’s immigration policies, job cuts, and handling of crises in Gaza and Ukraine. They carried signs saying things like “Due process,” “No kingship,” and “Stop arming Israel.”
