Under the Knife: Lions’ $120M Franchise Player Recovers From Offseason Surgery

Lions Star Amon-Ra St. Brown Had Offseason Knee Surgery, Still on Track for Camp

After a rough 2024 season packed with injuries, Lions fans were hoping for a drama-free offseason. But turns out, another key player went under the knife—though this one doesn’t sound too serious.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown told reporters during OTAs that he had surgery on his knee after the season. The good news? He says he’s expecting to be ready for training camp.

You wouldn’t have guessed anything was wrong during the season—St. Brown was electric. He racked up 115 catches, 1,263 yards, and six touchdowns. He even balled out in their playoff loss to Washington with 137 yards on eight catches.

With big changes coming to the Lions’ offensive line, quarterback Jared Goff might have to get rid of the ball faster in 2025. That could mean even more work for St. Brown, who already thrives on short routes.

All signs point to him being 100% by the time the season starts, which is huge. The Lions will need him firing on all cylinders if they’re going to stay in the hunt among the NFL’s top teams.
